My wife and I have just returned from an overnight stay at Shikanoyu and would highly recommend it. From the incredibly friendly, and professional staff, to the exquisite food and a fantastic hot spring bath, we loved everything about our stay. On top of all that, the Mount Gozaisho ropeway is only a short walk from the hotel. Thank you for some unforgettable Christmas memories!

So close to Nagoya, but so cheap. So great the onsen, but so unknown. So great the food, and unlimited desserts? So great the wine, but free as your welcome drink and dinner drink? Why it cost so little, but so great? God only know。。。♡♡

Susuki was a nice and helpful staff. Everyday guests can have welcome dessert buffet and sometimes the special events is free to join. Breakfast is traditional Japanese set, so delicious and bountiful.

The room is good, Japanese style room is nice with sitting room can have something to eat. Also, free snacks and drinks are available at certain time.

We took a lot of luggages arriving at ropeway Station and we seeked help from the hotel. They were very helpful and sent a shuttle bus to carry us. The dinner and breakfast was great and delicious. Staff introduced very clearly in English and served us very well. It was surprised that there were snack and cake after dinner. The room was large and comfortable, though it seemed old but still clean enough.

The best onsen around the Mie area, love the big segregated indoor baths and wonderful outdoor bath. Private onsen also available for 2200 yen. Friendly receptionist. Great experience after a cold, foggy day on the mountains!

Wonderful hotel in a small onsen town. The service here is impeccable and the food is good. The town is a nice quiet town with a ropeway that takes you up the mountain. There are private onsen here as well as an open air bath and indoor …
